BOM for days!

Hello!

Holy Moses! What a week! I can't believe it's Monday already! Happy 1
week dead Cody! I appreciate the "Hard Style" in front of the garage,
just so you know I've already marked that as mine. Also, if you have
any "funeral" pics I'd like to take a gander.

We had set a goal for 6 new investigators this week, and we hit that
in 1 day. So we just kept climbing, and we found 17! Bare in mind that
our district goal was 15, and our zone goal was 30. As a zone we hit a
new record in history of 51 new investigators. This area has always
been known as the "tough area" but the Lord definitely showed us that
it's all about attitude. I feel like I grew 10x more than ever this
week.

I went on an exchange with the Assistants, they are super awesome! We
had a good time in Independence. I received a blessing while I was
there, and the spirit had never been so strong, it was a power that I
could not deny. The priesthood is a real power given from God, to
bless and sanctify his people. As it is magnified, it can pierce the
hearts of those who are prepared to receive such a blessing.

I spent about an hour talking to this X cop from Shawnee Kansas
yesterday. She just filled our minds with stories and interesting
things, we told her a few of the streets that we would Tract, and she
is surprised that we made it out alive. She was so impressed by the
protection we had while we were on the Lords Errand.

The powerful witness I had when I first the Book Of Mormon will never
cease to carry me when times get tough and my Testimony is tried.
There are many reasons why I say this, I'll just use 2 in particular.

Because I have received a witness from the Holy Ghost that it was
true, I cannot deny it further down the road, and feel justified. Why?
Because the Holy Ghost only testifies of true and correct principles.
I came across a man who at one point received this witness. He felt by
the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon was true, and that
the church was restored through a prophet. I asked him about the
experience. I said: "so at one point you felt that witness" he said
"well, yes at one point I felt that it was true, but then things
changed that I didn't like. The prophet made certain policy changes
that effected me" I said simply but boldly. "you cannot deny that! The
Holy Ghost will not, and has never ever testified of one thing, and
then completely take it back further down the road. Because God is the
same yesterday, today, and forever. He does not go back on his words."
If anybody changed, it wasn't God. It was you, we are given agency for
a reason, and you can use that agency to act on the spirit when its
unpopular, or you can follow mans pressure and fall to whatever fickle
wave of doctrine that comes your way. Because someone gets that
witness, and holds to it they understand and know  that Joseph Smith
was a prophet of God, and that he restored Christ's church to the
earth in these Latter Days along with the Priesthood Authority. They
know not only what God has saved them from, but what he has saved them
for, eternity, the highest degree of glory with the Father. It is
accepted, or it's not. It's for us to choose.

I witness the reality of the divine truthfulness of the Book of
Mormon. I know it's true, it has been given to us to confound false
doctrines, bring us closer to God, and to receive the kind of power we
need to overcome the problems and temptations of this world. I promise
that if we read 6 pages of the Book of Mormon each day, we will not
fall.

Love you.

Trainings for days! Feb.8,2016

Hello everyone!

This week was pretty good, we had our Mission Leadership Council, and
then Zone Training on Friday. I trained on being a worthy Vessel For
the Holy Ghost.  It was a good successful training, the spirit was so
strong, and I loved every minute of it. The work in Lenexa is
challenging, but it's all about how you look at things. The spirit is
the teacher, I am the tool. Be Good, be worthy, and do what needs to
be done and I won't need to worry if inspiration is coming. Creating
success all depends on Attitude.

I bible bashed with some sweet black ladies this week, we had a good
time. Of course we weren't actually bashing, only joking. But we were
able to teach them the restoration, and clear a lot of false crap out
of their minds. It's always a success when that happens.

Met Jeremy Guthrie; he's a pitcher from the KC Royals, but he's
actually a free Agent right now, looking for another contract. He came
and spoke to the youth about missions, and over coming adversity. He's
a great, and humble man.

I went to the doctor this week, and he wants to check my blood because
I've been pretty drowsy lately. So we will see what that's about in a
couple of weeks, no need for alarm.

We found a new way of proselyting this week. We would go to McDonald's
and kick it for about 10 minutes, and then watch as the teenage kids,
and you adults would file in. They would kinda stare at us, and then
before you knew it, they would come up to us and start asking
questions. Weirdest moments, but the greats!

I got threatened by a Marine this week. It's okay, he was old and over
weight, I could out run him. I love the big meant head though. We have
a return appointment with him lol

I can't believe Cody returns home tomorrow! It feels so weird! Tell
him his drums are at Jerry Mcguires house. Also, tell him not to swan
dive. That's all.

Love ya!

Lost in IKEA, OATS

We went and did a few tours in a baptist church this week. It was very
good. We were able to establish some friendship with the Christian
community. We built a bridge, and made friends with the pastors. We
might be able to go and share a Preach My Gospel message with their
congregation some time in the future.

We also went to IKEA for some Swedish meatballs, which were bomb!
Found lots of cool stuff, and then we realized that we had no idea how
to get out of the place. Found a blue lamp though, then did some
office pics, proselyted, and then someone asked us to leave. Which is
okay, because, we found the exit...

We also went to the Hindeou temple, and did a tour. Extremely weird.
They legitimately told us they worship idols. But that's okay, they
don't study the bible.

It was a good week, could have been better, but I'm improving.
